3.1  Students describe the physical and human geography and use maps, tables, graphs, photographs, and charts to organize information about people, places, and environments in a spacial context.
1.  Identify geographical features in their local region (e.g., deserts, mountains, valleys, hills, coastal areas, oceans, lakes).

Assessment
Students will gain insight into understanding the regions of the United States through multisensory approach to include media, classroom education, leadership, and cooperative peer efforts. Students will be encouraged to explore educational internet options to classroom learning. Assignment will specifically provide a framework to understand location, place and region.
